Testimony to the FCC on Consumers’ Behalf

Maribel Martinez testified on March 11, 2022 to the Federal Communications Commission on behalf of consumers and the use of broadband labels, designed to increase internet plan transparency and subscription confidence for consumers. Broadband labels, similar to nutrition labels, are intended to help consumers evaluate internet subscription plans prior to purchase. Maribel Martinez advocated for their simplified, prominent display. She can be seen :17 minutes into the broadcast.
